Residential Treatment
«

My wife, 41yo, is diagnosed with BPD, OCD and anxiety. No known chemical dependency, and no self harming.
We are seeking a residential treatment facility to dig deep and try to get her the help she needs. Looking for recommendations for intensive DBT with art therapy components.
We Are able to travel anywhere and likely I would live in our RV with our daughters while she is in treatment. So interesting destinations are a bonus. Overall though we want a reputable program with proven success.

No she has not. She has been meeting weekly with a therapist for years. But now recommending more intense treatment.

What has changed? What is your understanding of the therapists recommendation?

Who is "we" when you say "we are seeking..."? You and W? You and her T? Are there more people involved?
Since your W sees a T and has been for years, my suggestion is for T and W to find the right place and for you to have minimal input. You can ask questions and help facilitate the decision process and be supportive. I am assuming from from your first post that money/insurance aren't issues here. I am also assuming that your W is currently capable of participating in decisions regarding her own best interest.
I've for the most part stayed out of my wife's mental health decisions with the exception of the insurance/money side of things. Even if she asks what I think the best course for her is, I do my best to defer the decision to the professional. Sometimes this annoys W because to her she thinks that I don't care. The reason I stay out is because if something doesn't work out, I know I get the blame. One time she asked me to find us a couples T, we went a few sessions, she then claimed I found a T who would always "take my side", claimed T had a crush on me, and for the most part ended in disaster.
