After 30 years of struggling to understand why my partner hates me so  I have realised that he suffers from BPD he is now making plans to leave me. I have tried in the past suggesting that he has some emotional issues but this results in rage. He now feels that his family has abandoned him  and that he does not need us in his life. It is a very sad situation

I'm really glad you shared your first post with us. 30 years is a long time. Do you have children together? 

How are you feeling about his decision to leave? Yes, it is very sad to see your partner react this way. I am so sorry. A pwBPD brings so much confusion into the lives of those who live with them. My mom was an uBPD so I definitely understand.

Please feel free to share more when you can, and take time to read the other posts too.
