How to communicate after a contentious divorce... Following a contentious divorce and custody battle, there are often high emotion and tensions between the parents. The children sense their parents anxiety in their voice, their body language and their parents behavior. Here are some suggestions from Dean Stacer on how to avoid conflict.

Well 3 years is long enough, but I finally received a gift that I'd been hoping for... .  a buddy sent me a link to a Twitter feed yesterday that finally allowed the world to lay eyes on my "replacement." In addition to his disgustingly vile feed which included messages to both her daughters came a profile pic. The man is absolutely hideous looking--old enough to be her father, obese, cigar smoking (not that there's anything wrong with that), pinky-ring wearing, gross man! I haven't stalked... .  have maintained hardcore NC... .  and can't even describe my sense of complete closure. The sense of "OMG/What the heck?" is hugely buoying. So I guess FB/Twitter might be good for something after all!

It is CRAZY.  My ex literally hooks up with the first person to come along.  She probably thinks this guy is a Brad Pitt look alike.  Mine said his ex girlfriend looked like Uma Thurman.  Then I saw her ... .  NOT EVEN CLOSE ... .  although she was blonde.   Guess that accounted for something.

Mine had a very strange taste in men, wasnt interested in the brap pitts of the world, all her ex's are nothing special and her current BF, which was an ex before me, is really wimpy and ugly. She on the other hand is crazy hot.

I can relate as I was replaced by a man nine years older than her, big balding forehead, beer gut, and nothing special at all, other than the fact they worked together.

She always had a poor choice in men. Her mother said she never expected her to date someone like me because I wasn't her type. I was confused by that then but it makes more sense now.
