I know its cheesy 90's music, but its been the little boost I needed today.

"Back on my feet again" by Michael Bolton (see it on youtube - try to get the one with lyrics.

Dont laugh until you listen to it first!

I find a lot of strength in music, have maybe been too focused on the romantic notions in the past but at the moment, really powerful:

Alicia Keys - Brand new me... . (Incredibly powerful)

Bon Jovi - Because we can... . (Even references black and white thinking)

But there's lots of older tunes that I've found strength in the lyrics "tainted love"... .

"Time For Me To Fly" - R.E.O. Speedwagon

I have ALWAYS loved this song but never thought of it in my current situation.  It really fits perfectly though.  Thanks  www.lyricsfreak.com/r/reo+speedwagon/time+for+me+to+fly_20115706.html

Florence + The Machine:  "Shake It Out".  It's so appropriate on so many levels.

www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/florencethemachine/shakeitout.html

Seriously, watch/listen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbN0nX61rIs

Conversely "No Light, No Light" also by Florence I feel could have been written by my ex.  Well maybe I give her too much credit for being self aware.

More Uplifting songs.

Alanis: Thank You

Foo Fighters: Times Like These

rage/anger venting:

Foo Fighters: Pretender, Best of You, DOA

All American Rejects: Gives you hell.

The Naked And Famous: Girls Like You

Wallowing in misery moments:

Muse: Save me

Hootie: let her cry

The Script: Breakeven

Keane: Everybody's Changing

NIN: Hurt

And I used to listen to this back when we were still together. Now when I listen to it I smile and nod. Perfect for some people on the Undecided board:

This life I lead - Konu

www.youtube.com/watch?v=P48q2S7BgS4

In this life I lead

I plead no fifth on how I feel but drink a fifth of Henn to kill how I’m feeling

I know it’s wrong but it won’t be long

Until it all falls down.

Woke up yesterday, coughing up cigarette smoke and head hurting

Not much left to say, but that I’m going through a bad situation

Once in my life I had to find, my way out of the dark so the sun could shine

Not to promise but effort given, to make it better I’m trying

In this life I lead

I plead no fifth on how I feel but drink a fifth of Henn to kill how I’m feeling

I know it’s wrong but it won’t be long

Until it all falls down. (x2)

It ain’t hard to say, that I’m going through a self confliction

Maybe it’s where I stay, east coco that’s my true addiction

I had to vacate to get my mind straight, off to the 808 to contemplate

And I returned learning about the burn when in, the heat of this fire

In this life I lead

I plead no fifth on how I feel but drink a fifth of Henn to kill how I’m feeling

I know it’s wrong but it won’t be long

Until it all falls down. (x2)
