Are bpwBPD less likely to handle more than one crisis at a time ?

I ask this because I have been expecting my ex to make contact.  Because I have been recycled so many times, I can almost set my watch to when she will make contact.

This time however, 2 of her elderly neighbours, (I refrain from calling them friends, she has none, only acquaintances) are near death with cancer, maybe just weeks left. She has been running back and forth to the hospital every day.

I try to keep in mind that pwBPD tend to behave like 5 year olds.

Seems to me, I have been put on the back burner.  She attempted contact a week ago,(on time ! ) she knows I'm back home after a vacation.  It has been now 7 weeks of now contact. (See my other post, " I was going to move into her place... .   ) https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=198636.0

Now, I don't want her to contact me, but I feel I need to be prepared.  The 11th commandment, know thine enemy  !

Monty, honestly we really don't know when they will contact - we are not in control of that.

If you don't want her to contact you - can you not answer the phone?

Monty,

Maybe she is just distracted and using her time and emotions in a constructive way - helping someone who needs help & that is a good thing.

I have to agree, there is something to the "timing" of it all for when they try to come back.  Only someone who has recycled way to many times can pick up on that.  Our lucky number had something to do with 3.  Around every 3 months he would try to come back or things would go horribly wrong after the 3 month mark.  Looking back it was even the same months of the year that we would either be off or on.

Be happy there is something else breaking that number cycle this time... .  but I understand! You are on edge!

Hi Guys,

My phone has been blocked and SMS also, for the last 51 days.

She has tried to contact me via snail mail which I ignored.

My question really was about why she has gone quiet.  Is it that she has given up after 50 days, (I doubt it), or is it that she may be distracted by the other things going on.
