All rightie... .    so here i am, having gone through the ringer, sitting alone in a quiet moment, emailing a friend... .

After years of a destructive relationship,

codependent suffering from being excruciatingly alone before and after the separation

serious and protracted crisis of faith

no physical affection for soo long (let's just abbreviate this one... .  'sex'

and wailing like David in the psalms, to God and whoever else would hear me over several months

i type to my friend "Lord have mercy on me" - with sincere conviction

only i typo... .

third word of the quote... .

second letter of that word... .

typed an 'a' instead of an 'e'

Smiling (click to insert in post)  somebody got me laughing tonight and i haven't stopped seeing outrageously funny humor in the smallest of things... .

Oh that's funny jason.  Humor has such a power to heal.  Smiling (click to insert in post)

Humor is also a form of sharing, an interpersonal exercise. To share laughter is a way of affirming that we are all in this lifeboat together. The sea surrounds us; rescue is uncertain; control is illusory. Still we sail on-together. ~Gordon Livingston MD

Indeed, I believe humor is vital to recovery!  A trusted friend of mine once told me to find something to laugh about every day.  I like all kinds of humor, but I tend to have a rather dry sense of humor at times.  So, with that said, What did one wall say to other wall?  I'll meet you at the corner.  Smiling (click to insert in post)

Gagrl - that is so funny!  Smiling (click to insert in post) Smiling (click to insert in post)

My (very platonic) friend responded in the midst of her rather uproarious laughter "WHO THE H### IS MARCY?  THAT'S IT, NO MORE ZOUP FOR YOU!"

That poor woman has heard far too many of my laments - she may need sedation... .  I am not sure she has recovered yet from the email... .     Being cool (click to insert in post)
