Sashbear.org Borderline Walk :: One Step, One person, One Life at ... .

www.eventelephant.com/sashbearorgborderlinewalk

Hi everyone,

Toronto is hosting The Borderline Walk on Sunday.  I think it is so cool that the Menu Courey family and friends are spreading awareness of BPD this way, despite the loss of Sasha to this disease.  Not wanting to focus on the loss... . hoping you will all send your good wishes to us here in Toronto on Sunday morning.

Reality

PS. It was Heronbird who told me about this family.  bpdfamily works in all sorts of ways.  So cool!

So funny Reality,

When I read the title of your thread, I was picturing a certain sort of stride, or "walk" that our loved ones may share!

I might be here in NY but I put on my calendar to get out there and walk sending hope and healing out.  Glad people are noticing.

trytrytry,

That is SO funny, a certain stride... .

Thank you for telling me.  It made me laugh.

heronbird,

You bet I am going... . I am doing the walk twice, once with the early risers and once with the others... .

There are about 15 Will's Wayers walking as well.

heronbird, even my h is walking.  I was clever.  I told his friends about it and then he found out the guys were coming, so he is going to walk with the guys... . male bonding or something... .

I want to have Neil Young's song, She's Always Dancing, on the loudspeaker, but yikes, I am way zanier than the average and people don't know how to categorize me, which unnerves them.  So I guess I will sing the song in my head.

I love the name, The Borderline Walk.  It does sound like a new dance.  Like the cakewalk!

griz and Vivek ananda,

Thank you for walking with us.

The world is changing for our darlings... .

"She's Always Dancing"

She wants to live without ties to bind her down

She wants to dance with her body left at ground

She wants to spin, and she lives in her own world

She wants to dream like she was a little girl

She's always dancing

She's always dancing

She's always dancing

She's always dancing

She's always dancing

Now and forever

From palm to palm

From hand to hand

Floating in the air she looks to find him there

She wants to live without ties to bind her down

She wants to dance with her body left at ground

She wants to spin, and she lives in her own world

She wants to dream like she was a little girl

She likes to burn

She likes to burn

She likes to burn

She likes to burn

She likes to burn

Out on the edge

That's when she gives

That's where she lives

Floating in the smoke

She says it gives her hope

She has the fire

She has the fire

She has the fire

She has the fire

She has the fire

But it's burning out

From hand to hand

From palm to palm

floating in the air, she tries to hold it there

She wants to spin, and she lives in her own world

She wants to dream like she was a little girl

She's always dancing

She wants to live without ties to bind her down

She's always dancing

She wants to dance with her body left at ground

She's always dancing

She's always dancing

She's always dancing

She's always dancing now and forever

You beat me to this... . I thought about posting this... . there is good video on you tube about this family. Broke my heart... . Won't it be great if we could have a borderline walk in every major city across north america?

I am a canadian living in Texas but I use to live in Toronto... . I wish I was there to join this walk!

heronbird,

Maybe there could be a Borderline Walk in England.  It was so cool!  There were lots of young people wearing signs to explain facts about BPD and also strategies, quite educational.

Other people who were walking saw the signs and were asking about BPD and the walk etc.

T-shirts, an orange bag... . like a knapsack, not a tote... . signs printed and mounted on Bristol board, a place for the walk and advertising... . easy to do anywhere... .

Gee, I posted yesterday, but must have pressed the wrong button... . doddery old age!

I wanted to say how I felt proud of you Reality and all the others on the walk too, and the organisers, all those in Will's Way - but especially you.
