Did your BPDexgf ever do this?
«
on:

Sometimes she would ignore me for hours if not days as BPDs do and if I sent a text it would get ignored yet she still has time to upload photos and crave attention from Facebook and Instagram ect. This is also usually after she claimed she need to be alone because home brings out a dark side of her (she was self harming at one point)
Anyone deal with similar behavior? I'd just like to know so it will further help me be at peace. Godbless

YES! My expwBPD is a fairly well-known performer. Social media is a PERFECT place for him to go fishing for the kind of IMPERSONAL non-intimate adulation that he craves. He gets it all for free, just for showing up. He does not have any of the responsibility of a real relationship on line where his fans and musician "friends" can adore him.
Yech.

I'm a professional DJ myself and I don't try to get the adulation she does!

Oh yes snappafcw. For mine, she actually had uploading pictures to Facebook down as one of her chores.
This was usually done during the times when she was ignoring me for something the world had done to upset her. She also got angry that I didn't have many pictures up on facebook but I live in the real world and often have real world issues so it was the least of my worries.

Hi Snappa!
This behavior is typical of pwBPD, known as push/pull. When you try to pull them in, they try to push you away. When you try to push them away, they try to pull you back. It's not your imagination, it's all part of the disorder!
Best Wishes,

Ditto for me.
I have become an invisible person to my exBPDgf.
BPD's will get their attention from somewhere else when they paint you black or invisible.

Yes. Mine was a facebook-aholic.
He counts his worth by the number of likes he gets.
He even does his crazy ranting on FB if he has no one around to paint black.

My exBPD would complain/make fun of girls who post suggestive pictures on instagram and facebook... . then she would do the same... . But somehow her pictures were always "not like those other girls" for some reason. She would also complain about guys hitting on her online... . sending her messages... . commenting on her pictures... . etc... . But she would accept anyone as a friend and never made any of her profiles private. It was a complete contradiction. It was almost like half of her wanted the attention and the other half knew that it wasn't cool that she wanted the attention and therefore acted like it was unwelcome. So twisted.

Totally, My exBPD would go as far as put pictures, statuses, and comment about sex and other sexual activities for the world to see. I remember looking at my exBPDs Facebook pictures and there were about 3,000+ and some were very personal/provocative pictures. I guess to them it's the #1 source of attention to feed them
