Essential oils
«

Has anyone here used essential oils? Last night I went to a "class" sales thingy about essential oils and things they are used for etc. And I was wondering if anyone had a BPD loved one who was helped by their use, or if it does absolutely nothing.
My uBPDh's best friend gave me a sample of something specifically for my DH (to rub on he back of his neck or bottom of his feet). He does not know about BPD, but he knows his emotions are "not rational" at times.
Anyways, I thought I'd ask.
Thanks,
Sunshine

In my case it does not work. I mean it works to make H less stressed sometimes, but essential oils cannot make illogical minds logical, you know what I mean? Stress may be a trigger for BPD rages or moods, but it is only just a trigger. Even in a completely stress-free environment they will find things to be angry about.

I don't think there is any harm in trying to create a calm atmosphere in the house this way.
Just keep in mind that there are real limits to what you can do to "help" him regulate his moods. So, maybe pick a few oils that you think will help
you
stay calm too!
