I read that many members have sought therapy at some point. I could really use the opportunity to speak with someone about what has unfolded in my life as well. Problem is, I'm a poor grad-student w/o any insurance. For those w/o disposable income and insurance, who do you speak with, how?

If you are in a fairly large city you can likely find free counseling. If not you should be able to find a sliding fee clinic that will base your cost on your income. Google is a good place to start. Also check with your county and state health and human services, or whatever it is called where you live.

Sometimes the Student Health Center at the University has counseling available.

Also check with Psychology Department or Department of Social Work.  Sometimes they have counseling with a grad student/intern.

Just my thoughts.

CODA is a 12 Step based support group and is free and works on the issues many of us had leading to these relationships.
