Hi guys!

10 months down the line since I broke up with my exBPDgf and I still get sad.The rejection the lack of empathy has stung my every being but over the months things have slowly gotten easier and I am even closer to the point of acceptance. The issue honestly did come down with me. Due to a non validating or supportive childhood it has always been hard to see or savour my achievements I would always undersell my abilities way too much and raise the bar way too high... .

What I have realised is career wise and achievement wise while not perfect (im still on my journey) I am actually doing quite well. I have some fun adventures coming up so why would I want to be with someone who puts me down or doesn't support me or get excited for me. I want to be with someone who feels warm when they see the sparkle in my eye and I want to do the same for my partner as well. I think this is real progress for my feelings and I just wanted to share.

snappafcw,

This is a great message, thank you for sharing.  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)  I'm so glad that you are looking ahead in your life and finding pleasure in that, instead of sadness.

You have a lot to be proud of, you have been growing and healing, and I hope you'll keep sharing your triumphs with us.
