She moved today, first day of true healing

After riding the roller coaster for 25 years I am a single man again. The moving truck has left and I feel an enormous weight lifted from my shoulders. It wasn't all bad over the years but I had to end it for my own health and well being. I don't have to worry about what to come home to. Good mood or a rage. I feel better already

Lord I was born a ramblin man
Trying to make a livin and doing the best I can
When it comes time for leaving I hope you understand
I was born a ramblin man

Ramble on,
I'm happy for you. A new beginning always feels good, doesn't it? Any plans for your newfound freedom?

My short term goals are to decompress and move ahead slowly. I can finally stop wondering how she will react to various things. I can stop second guessing myself and become more decisive again. I can rebuild my confidence levels. I can stop sweeping up the eggshells. I can eat, dress, do projects around the house, make decisions and not have to explain, justify, defend what I am doing. I won't have to be fearfull of her unspoken dislike, disapproval, or anger at minor things.
There will be a measure of consistency now that did not exist for many years. No more do as I say not as I do.
