Why am I the black sheep?

I recently discussed how my BPMother got very ill for a month, and now that her health has restored she went on a mini rage again. She is constantly besmirching my character, getting hostile and irate... .blaming me for everything. Nothing i ever do is good enough. I didn't visit her enough in the hospital, didn't seem sad enough, if things were up to me she'd be dead... .I just don't understand why I am the target for this all the time! everyone else gets credit when they show empathy but never me. all of the concerned I showed when she was ill is not even acknowledged. why am I the black sheep? is my low status in the family just randomly assigned?

That sounds really frustrating, kharma.
If I remember correctly, you're in nursing school and your mother wasn't very supportive of that. Do you get the feeling that your mother feels threatened or jealous? It sounds like your mother is splitting (
BPD BEHAVIORS: Splitting
), or labeling you as "all-bad," which can be very painful.
You feel like you've shown her empathy and visited enough, though, right? How are you holding up?
