Hi everyone,

I know that most of you are struggling to understand what you are going through and how you got there. Sometimes you need some light at the end of the tunnel.

Yesterday my dBPDbf got really irritated. His (female) boss is treating him like and it made a lot of sense to 'loose it'. He stayed relatively calm, watched a TV show, then was able to voice to me that he could not handle this. That he is already in a lot of pain and would rather quit his job than deal with her. He mentioned he wants to be normal, does not want to go to a T and wish this would all be over. Then, he said he can be really scared about us moving further. He feels anxious that he will mess up again.

I was able to respond to that with validation and even some logic (as he was calm enough). I explained that I know that he switches opinion on me a lot and that it's ok. I told him not to worry about it and that I will keep track of what is our average status Smiling (click to insert in post). He said that it was sweet of me to say, and we fell asleep.

I thought it was really beautiful to notice how he is using words more and more to express his feelings (healthy!). He did not dysregulate and we were able to calmly discuss things. His ADHD medicine (Concerta) helps a lot in this as well.

Just wanted to share something positive. He's been in therapy for 1,5 years now and although things can be rough, they are progressing.  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)
