silent raging

After a series of appalling behaviour by my uBPDh, where I'm fighting hard to rise above the 8 weeks of silent treatment, we have calm then rage. Probably sparked by me removing empty coke cans from his (our) room, when he went out, he slammed the door three times to demonstrate his rage. And I mean slammed! His track record tells me that the rage may continue when he comes homes and I might be running out the door to stay at a friend's.

Has anyone else experienced where the BPD's commitment to silence means that all issues they feel are acted out either violently or like a child throwing teddies out of their pram?

And another question, how do they see not getting a reaction? Weakness, reason to get worse? If I react, he's a lot bigger and stronger than me. And he would use that to lash out like all abusers do.
