After making my NC desires clear, haven't heard from the ex in any form for three weeks. Today got two texts: "I know I can be an exceedingly difficult and selfish person" followed by "you have been a positive person in my life, and I am grateful for that."
Of course I was a lot more than a "positive person," and this was someone who told me last time we talked that I was "not a good person" and "a narcissistic ___hole." Anyway, I have no impulse to respond. I just wanted to post here, because I find that it helps. Any thoughts are welcome.

One of my exgf favourite phrases was "I know I'm hard work"
Its amazing that they feel being hard work or difficult gets anywhere near to their true behaviour.

Hi Back
She really meant what she said in those texts, TODAY.
Tomorrow is a different matter though!
"People do come with warning labels. YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE THEM. Actions speak louder than words. You have to let go of the words. They seem deep - but words don't count. ~Words *dont* count.~ Actions DO." 2010
Stay strong.
