My relationship ended in January 2014 when my expwBPD filed a restraining order against me.  Some BPD's will do this and they are the dangerous ones to deal with.  I have been through a traumatic event and these are the things that have helped.

1.  NC for obvious reasons

2.  Blocked her on all social media-I found out she was viewing my profiles in some places

3. Got into therapy

4. Started going back to church

5. Started exercising

6. Returned to doing things I love rock-climbing and hiking

7. Abstained from alcohol

8.  Started dating again but nothing serious and I have met some wonderful women

9. Daily meditation- this comes easy for me and relaxes me.

10. Reading the posts here has been a tremendous help and has made me much more aware of the illness.

Its has been almost 9 months and much of the pain is gone.  And I don't hate her.  I do love her despite all she put me through.  I take responsibility for my part in the relationship.  I've learned that I am responsible for my own happiness.

Thank you for sharing.  I completely affirm the actions you've taken.  The trauma we suffer is real.   And the steps you've taken are fantastic.

Daily meditation has a been a lifesaver for me as well.

Yes meditation I have found keeps me grounded.  Exercise is good to process the anger and help with the depression.   I didn't feel better all at once, it was a cumulative effect and time with NC is a great healer.
