<split from another thread>

Do you mind me asking how your mom was willing to go on antidepressants & antipsychotics? I've tried to suggest antidepressants (and anti-anxiety) medication to my mom gently before-- always when she was facing some health crisis & saying "oh, why don't you talk to your dr. about this while you are dealing with this awful thing,... " (i.e., never implying that she needed to be on them all the time) and she was always super dismissive of the suggestion. Ditto re: therapy.

I hope this is not too personal of a question; feel free to ignore if it is. Thanks!

DANG! My WiFi kicked out right as I was sending my super nifty reply... .

Tree, my mom is lower functioning BP and had a couple breakdowns necessitating psychiatric  intervention. She is on several meds.

A recent increase of her seroquel  has made her more mellow and able to transition out of a negative  mood .I think seroquel is an awesome drug for bp.

Harri,

Hahaha  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)
