I see a lot of people hurting on these boards and it sucks.

2015 fast approaches,  a new year and a new opportunity.

Heres my list of things

1. Start therapy with spartanlifecoach to eradicate codependency,  people pleaser syndrome and learn self assertiveness and boundaries.

2. Hooked up with a boxing trainer with the aim to get back in the ring by August.  Side effects of getting into great shape and fitness and the confidence that comes with it

3. Not contact my ex eveeeeeeeer again!

Three good positive moves that I feel will pay dividends.

So what about you guys?

While I'm definitely still healing, I feel very good about my life. My goal in 2015 is to continue this... .by continuing to make decisions based on what's healthy for me, to enjoy and focus on the positives, and to take care of myself.

Great thread Inferno!

- entering a 15 week 3 hrs a week group Therapy for codependants.

- re-evaluating my carreer goals as I will loose my job as of June

- spent and enjoy as much time as possible with my mom who's terminally ill.

- stand up for myself, upholding my boundaries

- travel

- active social life, be there for my friends and family and go out more

- be ME in every circumstances

- and stay NC, never allowing drama and negativity back in my life again!

That sounds great, Infern0, good for you!  I love the Spartan Life Coach, his videos have helped me a lot!

My goals for 2015?  Get divorced in June (in Canada you have to wait 1 yr from time of separation to finalise divorce).  Get out of debt (or make a good dent in it).  Try to be more social.  Get out hiking more and into better shape.  Maybe start a garden.  I'm looking forward to the days getting longer (today being the shortest day for us in the northern hemisphere) so looking forward to lots of time outside in nature!  Maybe join a yoga class.

Nice post.

I plan to continue lifting and not stop. I want to be in great shape 6 months from now.

I would love to get into boxing as well. I just purchased a heavy bag and speed bag.

What is the spartan life coach? I need to solve some codependency issues as well.

Stay no contact and stay on track to a full recovery is my final goal. 2015 is all about ME.

1.) Finalize divorce.

2.) Move.

3.) Do all of the things I had no shot at doing over the last 6 years.

4.) No longer need validation from anyone but myself.

5.) Not look back.

Glad you asked!

I am signed up to do my first set at a comedy club in February.  I have always been told I should do stand up; and I turned this painful experience into a hilarious diatribe... it IS my therapy.

Get back in shape.  I just STOPPED working out after yet a second dating nightmare with another BPD in July.  Though this time, it played out in a record 8 weeks... .THANK GOD!

I have taken a vow to stay man free, no dating, no sex, just me focusing on myself and my kiddos.

I have always wanted to write, so, I'm going to start on a book.

Crafting!  I have a grandchild that will be one in January.  The old me would have made all sorts of things for her by now, but the depression killed that.  The fog lifts for longer periods now, so I want to seize those moments and make things for her that will have meaning as she grows older.

Spend time with my children.  I have two out of three kids still in the nest, but as teens in high school, not for long... .so I want to spend as much time as I can with them before they take off and begin their own lives.

Excel in my field.  I have been coasting at best in my career since this all happened.  NOt my style, but the depression that this brought has been like swimming with concrete boots.  So; I vow to make 2015 my year in my career and finally exceed my financial goals.

12 Goals.

Give myself 1 month to accomplish each goal.

I may get half of them done in 4 months? I may get all of them done before the end of the year, but either way, I will set a goal a month... .

2015 is going to be the best year of my life (post child birth years).

Me + God = I can do all things!

Great Thread.

I am not going to lend people money for 1 whole year.People know I have money and I am a kind man with a heart of gold.I need to stop this behavior.

I am going to continue T and work on Co-Dependant issues and my need to Rescue Needy Woman with a lot of problems.It is kinda like my addiction that needs to be looked at.

I am going to enjoy my Beautiful Harley in the spring.

I am going to try and start golfing again.

I am going to keep my weight down and eat right and workout.Even as much as walking

I am going to continue to go to Al-Anon and AA.I have 21 years sober

I am a small business owner and I am going to focus on that also

Most of all I am going to stand guard and watch out for people coming my way to run a game on me.My T tells me these people will ''seek you out'' so be on the lookok out and go slowwwwwwwwww with woman.

And I would like to just have woman friends to go do things with.Nothing serious.

I am sure there are many other things but I will stop there.
