Staying or Leaving

So glad to read the posts and info on this site today, at the recommendation of a friend.  My partner has shown many of the signs of BPD, and I have felt increasingly depressed over the past several months. We split less than a week ago, after several painful attempts at talking things through by phone.  The relationship was only 5 mos old, but we've been friends for longer, and both have sentimental feelings and attachment. 5 years ago I was in a different relationship in which I suspected that partner may have been BPD... .it was painful and messy. This is very similar in many ways. Though I will admit to enjoying the "worshipping" when things are good. Very passionate, but then the switch flips to angry behavior... .and it's confusing and painful.
