After a horrible breakup and weeks of name calling from my ex-fiance and being painted blacker than black, I got this text tonight: "Crying my eyes out listening to Adele. I don't want to bother you, but I did try."

I said, "oh my god. You finally put the weapons down. You're human after all. I've cried for two months. But you wanted this breakup and I just gave you what YOU wanted."

Some text exchange went on--with him STILL not accepting the blame and trying to distort the facts and tell me I was "so so mean" to him (not true at all, but I did hold him accountable for his lies and bullsht)... .and I held my ground: "I was not mean. I held you accountable which clearly no one--not even your parents have ever done. I might have given you, a small dose of your own medicine, but the things I said and did were meant to be constructive.  What you said and did was DEstructive. Now own it. Go find a nice girl with no spine who wants to be your doormat--cause I'm not that girl. Goodnight."

Held the line--gave him no way out--and I feel like I just won an Olympic gold medal. It happened for me... .i know it doesn't happen for everyone on this forum. So I wanted to share the story and hopefully inspire others to STAND UP. Cause it feels good. Very very empowering.

My daddy always said, "There are times in life when you have to stand up or get buried"... .tonight I stood up. Ass.

FOLLOW UP: And then the next morning I got a bunch of horrible text messages where he says every horrible hurtful thing to me that he can and that he is not sorry and has no remorse... .blah blah blah.

So... .I guess when I gave it to him straight, he couldn't handle it and had to immediately project onto me. I rejected his bullcrap... .called him out... .but he had to get the "last word"... .so I blocked the number.

And his words hurt me, but thanks to BPD family, I wasn't surprised. At least I kind of understand what is happening... .so, thanks ya'll.
