I should have mentioned what I did today... .
My son and I picked up the keys to our new place, moved many boxes in, negotiated which bedroom we wanted, and enjoyed the thought of having our own place... .and a future we are in charge of.
He opted for the bigger room... . We negotiated closet space to make up for my loss in square footage, giving up the master bedroom. I ended up with the room with the view... .and sliding glass doors that lead to the balcony.
I was so busy taping up boxes... . I forgot to stop and reflect what a meaningful day it was.
