Some do, some don't.  I think my wife's longest job lasted two years.  Frankly, I support her efforts to work, but I think it's only a matter of time before the same issues crop up, no matter what the job or who she works for.

Other pwBPD have great careers and are high functioning.  How do I know?  I'm pretty sure I have had a few BPD bosses and/or co-workers over the years.

My husband is extremely intelligent and had a successful career as an attorney. I think he would have gone so much further in his career had he had good people skills. Also better ways of dealing with stress rather than drinking and being obsessed with how things could screw up. I know attorneys are trained to look at how things can go wrong, but he worries over the most insignificant things and he seems unable to turn off the negative self dialog.
