jobless still

So ex has been unemployed since October 2013.  In mediation a few weeks ago he said he had a job offer here. He said he would take it. Afterwards he said it was at a tire place. Now he says they have filled the position. He said he wants to do this online marketing thing "it works", I guess like health stuff. Apparently he used a body wrap and lost 7 lbs in a week. Apparently this is miraculous. He had the nerve to ask me if I would help him in this marketing crap. He is living in the clouds.

Rarsweet it sounds as if you need to fortify some boundaries.  It sounds to me like ex is fabricating ways of staying engaged with you, something you must guard against and "nip in the bud."  Maybe go a little more towards NC as opposed to LC.

You know you are absolutely right. I've been feeling odd, ever since meditation he has kind of acted like we are friends, like nothing ever happened. I've really just been so thankful for peace I have tried to just go along with it.

How does he support himself? So you pay him child support? Are you in u.s.?

He lives with his dad. From the sounds of it he's doing some odd jobs like mowing a lawn or helping a guy pick up stuff at auctions. We have child support court September 4, there is no order as of yet.

When was the last time he worked? In what capacity?

Is there a mental health reason he won't or can't work or just lazy?

I've got a friend who's ex won't work, took one job and quit after one day siting his feet were too tired from standing for six hours.

It's unbelievable to me that a man would not want to try to support his family but this guy is so very happy to have her support him. She works two jobs. I don't get why the courts are allowing him to do this other than he was a stay at home dad before, but since divorce why should he not have to support himself?
