Beware of Junk Psychology... Just because it's on the Internet doesn't mean it's true. Not all blogs and online "life coaches" are reliable, accurate, or healthy for you. Remember, there is no oversight, no competency testing, no registration, and no accountability for many sites - it is up to you to qualify the resource. My T made passing mention a few weeks back about, perhaps I am acting my "non" behaviors out in other relationships as well as my marriage.  I was silently stifled as I immediately understood the question and its likelihood at a deep gut level.

So, though it has taken a few weeks to get into it in my mind, I have started to think through my work, friend and family of origin relationships for signs of my "non" behavior.  The more time I have spent thinking about it the more examples that have come up for me where I was definitely doing this.

In particular, I have always had a hang up about an old friend that keeps replaying in my mind over and over again.  I see this person from time to time (reinforcement) and talked with them very recently.  Knowing what I have learned from this site, I clearly see that this friendship has similar relation qualities where I played out my Non behaviors against the backdrop of his Narcissistic tendencies.

All this made me a little (more) depressed to recognize I am a "non" in more than just romantic relationships.

Anyone else come to this as a personal conclusion?  Have you found that your "non" behaviors are in multiple parts of your life?

How deep does the rabbit hole go?  I am getting older and sometimes wonder if I have enough time for all this awareness to make a difference for me.
