VIDEO: "What is parental alienation?" Parental alienation is when a parent allows a child to participate or hear them degrade the other parent. This is not uncommon in divorces and the children often adjust. In severe cases, however, it can be devastating to the child. This video provides a helpful overview.

This relationship has been explained here:

https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=281089.new#new

But I wanted to hear from people that successfully moved on from a soBPD... .I talked with her family for the first time ever the last couple days and learned that she has lied and manipulated since she was a very young child... .and I learned more very hurtful lies she used to manipulate me that I wasn't even aware of.

And upon confronting her with this, she simply says 'believe whatever you want, keep attacking me, I know it makes you feel better'.

So now comes the healing I guess... .and lord it is already impossible... .but I'm trying.

Hang in there bud, you made the right choice.  I know it sucks at first though but,  over time you will start to notice how freeing it is not having to anticipate what your partner is going to do and how they are going to react to you. I myself am still only a couple of weeks since my b/u and trust me you will have bad days but eventually you will notice that your average day is alright with brief moments of sadness.

Best wishes,

SG
