uBPDmom has life insurance policy on me?

This might be the wrong place for this, but... .I recently found out my uBPDmom has a life insurance policy out on me. Is it normal for a parent to have an insurance policy on their child? She would receive money if I died right? Maybe I've been watching too many episodes of Dateline but this seems really odd and I feel slightly threatened. Has anyone else ran into this before? Can anything be done?

Sorry I have nothing to offer... .
However, I was in this same position and also thought it was odd.
I have wondered if this was typical. The policy was taken out on me when I was in elementary school. Who does that? Maybe people
do
? Idk
It creeped me out.
I would have been relieved to hear it was a common practice or something similar... .but i just don't know.

My father had a life insurance policy on me, when i was a child. After I got married he gave it to me to cash in. I never really thought anything about it. I do not have policies on my kids though.

Funny a few years ago my mother wanted one on me. I was 39 at the time. Yes, I did feel uncomfortable. Was she planning to off me in some way. Weird way to think huh. but other family members said the same thing. Some truth in a joke is what they say. Any ways I had to sign that it was oK and I did not.
