Really, I think i already know the answer to this question. Well, I dunno, I guess its really a personal thing.

... .I've been debating whether or not to delete the photos my EX had sent me once upon a time. I like em, of course, but worry they might be impeding the grieving process. Though, I also present myself with the argument that I can separate the sexual dimension from the grieving process. Hmmm, Am I fooling myself?

Anybody else struggle with this?

I kept mine. I haven't looked at them in over a year, but they're still around if I ever feel like it, I guess. He's hot, we were hot and fun together, but I don't know that I can ever look at those photos in a non-emotional manner.

Beyond the emotional reaction it might cause, do you think it's helpful for your grieving and detaching process to keep your ex tied to your sexual pleasure?

I personally found that, once I stopped fantasizing about my ex, I began to heal and detach more.

Do what you feel is best for you. Keep them if you want. Delete them if you want. Just, whatever you do, do it with a focus on your wellbeing.

I have deleted about half... .I am kind of where HappyNihilist is on this... .and zundertowz is right on the half I haven't deleted.

My plan is to eventually delete all of them. I don't want to look at them. Frankly they remind me of how demented he really was. I have never received so many naked photos from one person in my life. I would get 40 at a time. Although I did keep a handful... .there were really so many that I became numb to them. There's only so many "oohs" and "ahhs" I could genuinely give... .after a while it was boring and numbing.

All I can do is delete them and put positive vibes out there that someday i will find someone/something worth keeping photos of. BPDx isn't worth the data storage. haha.

I may have kept them if it was a normal ex... .but we all know that what they did with us they probably did with 50 people... .that is not a turn on to me!

I have a few hidden away. I thought about deleting them time and time again, but it's sort of like a security blanket.

My biggest temptation to fantasizing is that my ex looks and performs just like a famous pron star.

Before I met my BPDxW, I dated a normal Non-PD woman from the Midwest who didn't mind me doing sketches of her in the nude (I had done this before in Art Classes).  Anyway, you all know how insecure a pwBPD is so I made the decision to get rid of the sketches when I got engaged to my BPDxW.

Woman from the Midwest moved back to that part of the country and we lost touch a long time ago.  Yet I have good memories of dating her.

Now I sort of wish I still had those sketches . . .  Laugh out loud (click to insert in post)
