Afraid to leave the house.

My doctor suggest that I go to my sisters house for Thanksgiving and I think that he is right. My ex BPD is very dangerous and I am afraid to leave for more than two hours at a time. I sleep with the lights on and have missed allot of work. I tried to go to the beach with my dogs yesterday but got freaked out and went home after an hour. I have a restraining order on him but he has not updated his address change which is a mandate. My big fear is that he hurt the dogs while I am gone for only 48 hours. I have two dogs and can only take one one the plane. I can not take them but I am afraid to leave them at home.
I really need out of this nightmare. This is my second time doing this, I get the ones that threaten to kill you and are serious. Right now I am so afraid of the holidays and that he will come back to get back with me or to hurt me. I also think that if I go back, this time he really will kill me. I have been living like this for weeks. Please understand that this is not in my head, the reality is that I have minimized this for weeks. Everyone sees this but me. I hope that he left but no one can tell me for sure. I do not know what to do.

Hi joel6242,
I'm so sorry you're going through this. I can see how frightening this would feel. It's sad to hear that you can't take both dogs bur maybe you can you find a pet sitter that can take last minute bookings?

Wouldn't it be nice to have a break for a couple of days?
