What the heck?

Hi staff
Just wondering...
After ending breaking it off with ex BPD/OCD bf two months later I get a text... That says:
You and Rosie( my little dog) should come up and visit sometime...
Why would a person say that... after I explained I couldn't take any more rage or crazy making episodes to create distance, asking for no further contact.,
What on earth could prompt this?
Thank you!

Mental illness.
That is behavior that is very familiar to probably all of us, here. My wife is experiencing this, as well, as she deals with my ex-wife. Sometimes even minutes later, it's like nothing ever happened.
There is no other explanation than that. Gotta let that sink in. They are broken.

Push/pull and/or difficulty detaching. This is textbook BPD behavior.
