My friends recently mentioned how my ex of 3 weeks, who is with another guy is now completely different.

Posting he self in underwear on the twitter and tumblr. Being in a master and slave relationship with the guy she emotionally cheated on me with.

Its like you don't even know these people. How can see go so low for the attention she craved by posting her body on line and all her sexual things.

I wondered if anyone else had any similar siltation of your ex just completely changing her personality.

I fee that they do it to try and match the new person they are idolising.

Mine had been seeing a guy who was into motor bikes and she hated them and everything to do with them.

With no prompting from me she was, after a few weeks, quite happy to go on the back of mine.

So while it's not quite the same as your scenario I think you are probably correct.

Its like you don't even know these people.

How can we truly know pwBPD when they themselves don't even know who they are? No sense of self, mirroring, etc.

If I have a glass of water and then pour the water into a bowl, the shape of the water will be different, but can I really say that the water "changed?"

Mine pretty much hated all sport. She would only just tolerate it in small doses if I was wanting to watch some on TV. But going to a live game... .never! Her idea of sport was sitting in a Chanel store having the staff bring her clothes, shoes, bags and jewellery to try on!

The new fiance is a football coach with what appears to be a very amateur team... .but she is now full on sports minded and needs to go to every game and watch every other on TV.

I think that's mirroring, don't you?

She loved all of my movie choices at the beginning... Absolutely LOATHED videogames because she felt I spent more time and focus on videogames when I spent a large chunk of my time watching TV with her and not actually playing videogames... .

Go figure!

Sounds like it is quite common for them, the mirroring is the best example.

They want to mirror the other person so their likes and dislikes come along with it. Such a complex illness with so many different things happening all at once.

You have to feel sorry for them, that they have to go through it and always push away the ones that loved them.
