This forum has been such a therapeutic Godsend to me.
When we first broke up I went through the motions of why? What did I do wrong? I should have done this or listened to her when she said that. After a few weeks I started to realize that something else was really happening there under the surface.
That's where you all come in. I've read so many threads over and over from people with very different situations, but I see so many of you have gone through the EXACT same treatments, reasonings, and behaviors that I endured. The lies, tests, manipulations, guilting. All of it.
It helps a lot. It helps a lot to know that I'm not alone. It eases some of the pain and makes me realize that I'm really not at fault here. Damage has been done, and yes it still hurts, but to wake up and realize that there was really nothing I could do means so much.
I know you're hurting too, but I hope that you can understand and feel the same way. Many thanks to all of you!

Glad to hear that this place has brought you a little solace. This place was a godsend to me in the months following being devalued and discarded.

Angry obsessive thoughts about another weaken your state of mind and well being. If you must have revenge, then take it by choosing to be happy and let them go forever.
