Keeping the love you find and the passionate marriage

everyone, I am so glad this board is here, it gives me somewhere to go after telling my partner that if he does not meet with a lawyer and file for divorce then I will separate from him.
Today I am going to the library to pick up keeping the love you find and the passionate marriage.
I am in a lot of pain.
I am going to meet with my priest tomorrow for confession.
I know I brought a lot of adult child issues into my relationship and I am dealing with them.
I really appreciate the book suggestions.
I also appreciate the support of this board. This is not easy. I lost a sponsor/friend over this relationship. I thought I should know better after all the therapy and recovery I've been through, but my adult child issues were the one thing I did not deal with. I am also reading understanding the borderline mother, which I'm posting about on the coping board.

Dear Unicorn,
This is a cornerstone in your life and you are facing it with courage. You are doing positive things for yourself and don't worry about the friend now. Friendships can always be rebuilt, especially if they are a sponsor. I think those of us with FOO issues are actually very strong people, look at all that weight we have carried in a lot of relationships. Only maybe we don't always use that strength for our own good. You have already started changing it and it can only get better. Do you pamper yourself enough? Do you do little, pleasant things during your day? And have you got a pet? They are very helpful in difficult times.

That sponsor wrote me off and she stopped going to the meetings I was going to. I got a new sponsor.
#####
I am not allowed to have a pet where I live although I was thinking about what I could do to get a service dog. Since I have PTSD that might be allowed .
#####
Thank you for your support!

Thank you reforming, right now I'm focusing on the borderline mother book and I made it up to page 68. I think once I'm done with that I can pick up keeping the love you find again. I'm not happy about I handled my partner's extinction burst yesterday. I'm trying to save a relationship that's close to falling apart.

Hey Unicorn, how is it going today?
Would you like to tell us what your partner did, what you did and what you are not happy about? (Only if you need to of course) And if you are not happy with what you are doing, what else do you think is in power so that you don't do that thing you don't like?

Hi this world I went to confession so I want to move forward. I'm giving my pwBPD an opportunity to set things right and get a lawyer who will file his divorce, by the end of the year

Thank you this world, I'm deep into understanding the borderline mother now, it's kind of a prerequisite for me to keeping the love you find.
