Yes of course they are hard, we blame ourselves for not calling them, and if we do call them then we reset NC back to zero. I am already dreading my BPDx birthday coming up but I know I will stay strong and just let it pass.

It was his birthday yesterday and that's why I made the post with the title "I feel guilty". It was hard yesterday and all day today. I feel better tonight. It will pass. Keep strong!

Her birthday isn't for another 7 months, and I'm hoping that I'll be mended by then. At the moment I'm more worried about what will happen over the next month or two.

It's my exBPDGf birthdays next week. I'm worried I'll break no contact especially because it's Christmas as well. Why does it still hurt so bad

Wished her a happy birthday months ago and got no reply. Also didn't get a birthday wish from her. Then a month after that I got a "hope everything is going well with you" text. Needless to say I will not be wishing her a merry Christmas or happy new year.

It is my ex's birthday is next week and I am already getting worried. It is on christmas eve so i hope i will be busy enough to take my mind off it. You are not alone in feeling this way. It is very difficult on such an important day to remain away from them.

How did they treat you on your birthday? Mine was all about herself; first bday together was mine and she was pissed that I didn't invite her to MY bday to do something. My next bday she didn't even give me a card; then lied to others telling them I forgot her bday.

Mine bought me a $300 backpack with my credit card for one of my birthdays. The next one she bought me a cake and claimed my present was "in the mail" - it never came - how do you trust someone who lies about getting you a birthday present? WOW!

On her birthday she posted pictures of flowers I sent to her office and tagged me. Only after we broke up I realized she probably did it for triangulation, to show the ex she moved on, also maybe to force me show it on my own timeline and mark her territory. It had nothing to do with thanking me.
Or... .At least that's what I think.
Can't wait for her birthday this year, so I could ignore it , or if I'm still pissed send a "f you" note.
