Has anyone experienced gaps in the past history of their pwBPD?  My BPDexgf never seemed to have a lot of old stories from her childhood or teen years, except ones when she felt she was wronged.  She had a lot of relationships, but none of them ever seemed to have any real cut off point in terms of how they ended.  You'd think I would have heard that someone broke up with someone or it just fizzled, or whatever.  Normal relationships usually have some form of closure.

Not just about relationships, my ex had gaps in his employment and education history as well as childhood.  I only found out a few months after we split up that for 15 years he had been telling me stories of his "pilot days" (he claimed for all of those years that he had been a pilot but had been "grounded" due to blood clots, which was believable as he was on daily blood thinners, and was moved to cleaning airplanes due to a grey area of the contract when he was grounded from being a pilot) and it was all a lie.  He was hired, thanks to his sister being a manager at the airline, to clean airplanes.  He had also claimed he had done drug rehab for marijuana and that turned out to be untrue.  He had in fact been in rehab but it was for much harder stuff.
