Well, we have no "official" diagnosis of BPD.  The diagnosis we have are anxiety disorder and bipolar w/depression.  It was hinted to me a few years back (not sure if it was our first, second, third... .fifth hospital admission) that borderline might be what we were dealing with.  Yet, she only carries the diagnosis above.  Anxiety I'll agree with; that's a for sure.  Bipolar?  I don't think so.  Everything about her is reactionary, and the descriptions I've read fit her pretty well to a T.  (changes personalities depending on the company she keeps, pushes people rapidly out of her life for "wronging" her, compulsive spending, risky behavior with males, pot, and apparently I'm the problem in her life).  Ok, that's a snippit.  I'm here looking for support not sympathy.  We've got therapists, meds, and things are better than they were 2 years ago.  She's (begrudgingly) takes classes part-time at community college and is working part-time.  She has certificates for a trade career, and occasionally acts like she's pursing it.  Having her live at home (at 19) is like a prison sentence - for both of us!  I'm tired of living in a war zone.  Hoping to find advice for setting boundaries, and hopefully moving her forward to becoming more independent and less angry.

Dad to my wolf pack

What precipitated the hospital admission, suicide ideation (or attempts), or self harm?

It sounds like she is a little more stable now. Is it due to meds, or a cycle in general?
