Hi gang,
It's almost 6 months now since my ex and I broke up. I can still get pretty down in the dumps about it, like today. The thoughts about her are still intrusive but they are more manageable. I've enrolled in a DBT class for friends and family which has been good. She still texts every once in a while out of the blue. If I respond she doesn't respond so it is like some odd text-based push-pull. She's been living with her new girlfriend for the past four months. I've been able to resist checking her facebook for the last month or so, so that is real progress for me (though often very difficult to maintain). I'm worried about holding steady during the holidays.
Thanks for all your support throughout all of this my dear BPD family.
xoxo

I understand how tough it is, especially this time of year. Avoid the stalking if you can, just take care of you. Best of luck, I promise, it gets better.

Hi kc
Yes, the holidays can be difficult. I have already planned mine. I just want to be sure that I don't leave myself in an unplanned place where I can easily slip into ruminating and am by myself.
Have anything planned yet?

Hey kc, it's good to hear that you're progressing. That has to feel nice.
I understand those down days. Not pleasant at all, even with the skills that we have to cope with them. I think you're right about this being a manageable process with some patience.
Hold tight during the holidays. The storm will pass eventually if you end up getting triggered. Stay well!
