I love the suggestion that we enjoy our holidays, make our own memories and plans and not worry. The BPDs in our lives are going to try and ruin them because they want that focus on them and how dare you have a good time? A good time is like water on a wicked witch... .they're meltingm... .melting... .
I say, "let 'em melt!"

Well, mine ran me out of my home Xmas eve with threats and a fight... .when I came home in the morning he had another woman in our bed with him! That was the the worst Xmas ever! I called the police, threw them out and took the Xmas tree down in tears and threw it out the back door. How is that for a story?

Dear Herodias, That's disgraceful! They sure know how to ruin a holiday in the worst way possible... .going for maximum emotional damage. The only way to gain victory is to become aware, heal and learn to love yourself. You deserve better. At least you knew exactly what was up. Many of them just go on spreading misery without giving you a definite reason to disengage. I hope this Christmas is a thousand times as good as that one was horrible!

Let's see. Last year, about this time, I was begging my ex to talk to me. We weren't officially "off" but she would barely talk to me and she wouldn't see me at all outside of work.
It would be around this time too that I found out she had been on a "couple of dates" with someone. That's when I officially ended it (well, after confronting her and a couple of weeks of her begging for my forgiveness). I would later find out that new guy was a co worker (she had said it was another mutual acquaintance of ours... .could've been but most likely was the co worker).
Fast forward to this time of the year: she's been living with the replacement (she told me he was) for at least 6 months and is wanting to sleep with me (among other things).
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night... .right?

Good grief! And she probably thinks that is perfectly acceptable!
