A few years back Xw and I had a parental assessment done. The forensic psychologist who did the assessment said I was codependent and didn't out right diagnose Xw but worded in her report that it was very strongly suggested Xw has a personality and will most likely carry this into future relationships through out her life. We did some pretty intense, deep tests page after page, hundreds of questions. It this considered a diagnosis?

Doesn't look like it bus boy. It sounds like there were indicators, but further testing and interviewing would be required to diagnose.

Check this out, it explains how BPD is usually diagnosed:

I Think It's Borderline Personality Disorder, but How Can I Know?

Is it possible to show many strong traits and not have a disorder? Xw pretty well nails it for NPD traits. Very cunning, manuplateing, lie in court under oath, emotionally abusive, she would get the look of the devil in her eyes when confronted, everyone is stupid, ignorant or rude. A long time ago we were having a nice lunch when out of the blue she insulted me. Maybe she really did hate herself for being with me, she told she did. Everything about me made Xw cringe. It boggles my mind why Xw would continue having sex with me for 8 years after she left, up until she met her BF a year 1/2 ago.
