Hi there, just hoping for some ideas in coping with a BPD mother who in now in her early 70s and getting needier. How do you know when you're "doing enough"?

Welcome Kagsy:
I'm sorry to hear that you have a mother with BPD. Has she ever gotten any form of treatment for BPD?

For some people with BPD, you won't ever be doing enough. What's going on with your mom right now? Is you father in the picture? Anyone other than you able to assist her?
This is a safe place to share. I look forward to hearing more about your situation and what you think some of your mom's needs are.

Hi kagsy,
I'd like to join Naughty Nibbler and welcome you to bpdfamily. I agree with Naughty Nibbler and I'd like to add that a pwBPD don't know where they end and the other person begins, boundaries are important for us.
I'd like to echo Naughty Nibbler, do you have siblings?
