Hi,

I am new here. I was wondering how someone tells the difference between bipolar, depression and BPd?
Can someone describe dissociation from someone just alone?
The attachment I assume came from neglect in childhood for somme?
Could a parent have it and the child to them?
If a parent never wanted to discuss with that person when saw internally they were in pain and instead deflected or said there is no point seeking help as nothing anyone can do, what would that behaviour be?
The feelings of detachment,deep feelings of pain, loneliness then resentment coming in a cycle, is talking going to a therapist going to help if they know finally it's a cycle of emotions?
Is there herbal, vitamins to help that pain above?
Can this disorder stunt mentally that person? And how does someone heal that stunted child if one,the parent cannot look internally?
I've heard in therapy speaking to yourself as the child comforting them,you but I imagine this in no way replaces the love they didn't receive?
It's possible people with PBd get partners who are angry and very sweet I heard but wondered what that relationship is?
Is there a way have a relationship,job, if ones world feels like falling apart internally?
If the attached, feels they are getting no reply from the parent that has helped to some degree financially, but comes and goes from their life just over difference of opinion,events, how to heal that rejection that still happens and particularly when things just seemed to be getting better between them?

My questions are how to heal the rejection,stop the blame game from a parent that won't recognise their involvement in the situation?
How to heal the dissacotion and guilt,shame from possible quiet PBd goes through.
How if it crippled someone emotionally and have physical limitations but non able for benefits can someone find an appropriate job?

Many members here are coping with a parent with BPD (whether diagnosed or not). While BPD in a parent presents significant challenges to a child, many members here have taken charge of their own healing journey, regardless of whether or not the parent admits to being hurtful.

how someone tells the difference between bipolar, depression and BPd?

Someone with a PD (Personality disorder) tends to lack empathy and focus on self most of the time. Depression temporarily creates that dynamic and Bipolar is defined by highs (election) and depression. Also you can medicate depression and Bipolar, but not BPD.

Many feel the DSM-5 scale (a spectrum) is a better way of gauging than labels. Knowing your weakness and address them, is the best way forward. Someone with BPD will struggle with that more than Bipolar and depression as someone with a PD (Personality Disorder) is more likely to blame others and avoid diagnosis. More likely to repeat unhealthy behaviour and less capable of learning new behaviour. My ex was convinced no one could change and therapy was a waist of time (but Darwinism and CBT proves her wrong).

Sounds like you’re capable of introspection and open to change, which bodes well.
