As a mom it is so difficult and tiring to not only keep up on one's own mental health issues but that of a adult child's bpd.  My 23 year old daughter last year had a devastating break up with her fiance after a medicine change that put her in a whirlwind of emotions and pychosis.   That was February 2024. Then July 2023 she tried to od on medication and ended up in mental institute for over a week.  The medicine helped for a little bit until recently.  She now realizes what she did and what she has lost and wants to die daily if she can't be with her fiance.   I don't want to give her false hope but just enough to get to the otherwise of this.  Everytime she gets a therapist they leave.  So she just feels like no one wants her to get better.  Everyday is a struggle.   Every emotion is intense.   This mama is tired. But never too tired to love her and help her.

hi!  goodness, I feel your pain...my 25 y/o daughter (pwBPD) (long story, "ghosted" me, her father, sister & nieces (she reaches out, via text, really when she needs something...however, I perservere) anyway...when she DID speak to me, she flat out asked me to help her die, said, she did not kill herself b/c of me, did i give her permission TO die, had me take 3/4 of her pills so she did not OD, had me hide her knives in her apartment, nearly starved herself (flash forward, she got a DBT therapist & out of the literal clear blue, said I enabled her (I was doing EVERYthing she ASKED) anyway...I honestly cannot wrap MY brain around it, I feel horrible for your situation, best I can say is, I did a "Jesus Take the Wheel approach & i found a wonderful therapist who specializes in parents of children/adults with BPD, if any of that helps...feel free to reach out!  (I know it is mentally exhausting, my pwBPD is the last thing I think of at night and the first thing in the morning (going on 3 years now)
