So, after 7 months of rage and hatred and moving out and name calling and photobombing me at my place of work, cyber harassing, and generally being MONSTEROUS fiend... .ignored Christmas, birthdays, all my efforts at communication... .

My BPD daughter (16) responded to a text invite from me to hang out/go shopping for a few items at mall.

She was kind. She was fun. She was positive - yes, sarcastic with black humor... .but FUNNY. Witty. NICE.Gracious. Thankful, and actually shared her life (there is a major romance event) and asked about ME.

She is medicated (anti dep/anxiety).

I know this will not be forever, but I was SO fulfilled to have her, even for just a few hours, back as my daughter. It was like hanging around with a person I have not seen in YEARS.

Hi SurvivorMom

That's brilliant news, a break though I'm so happy you got your daughter back for a few hours the feeling of connection and fulfilment   What a huge relief it'll be for her too, did you sense that?

Sharing what a great time I had with my DD works wonders, validates her experience (my DD's says as she has BPD double validation works best for her), keeps the door open for her to reach out.
