How do people with BPD process rejection?  Do they demonize the person who rejected them?  Idealize?  What happens to a BPD person after a romantic breakup?

My husband idealizes his ex girlfriend/fiance. He is constantly comparing me to her. If I could only be more like her... .etc etc.  So I don't know if this is always true but it certainly can be.
