I haven't posted on here in a few years, so a little bit of an update on such... .
My spouse has made a fairly well recovery with several medications, meditation practices, yoga, etc. Life is in no way perfect but it is much different than it was.
The part that gets me is I had to leave a job that had me home a good portion of the time, living in a town I was happy in. We've had to move multiple times to escape the damage she made around us.
Now that we are 1200 miles away from friends and family( going on two years now) she is better off. The only difference is now that she is better I have to work 3x as much to keep a rough over our heads. My mother is getting older. My grandmother is dying in the hospital right now and I can't even get off to go visit.
I feel stuck. I had a life that I was satasifed with and have now created a life of stress and missing my family to keep my spouses health in check.
How do we handle this? I've long thought what would going back to the town all this began would do? Would it restart episodes? We live in an amazing and beautiful place now... .just 1000 miles from all both of our families.
I miss being home with my kids. My job is travel so it means while she is enjoying all her new found time with the kids I am stuck on the road 20 days a month when before it would only be 3-4 nights a month.
Insight? Perspective?

Hi Husky,
Your situation sounds difficult. I can imagine how hard it is to want to be with family but also knowing that you have to pay the bills by working so long. Is your spouse able to work so that you could cut back a little?
