I've decided to detach completely to my ex with whom I have a son with. After reading a ton of posts here and articles I see through the BS like never before. I was basically reading my 2 1/2 relationship over and over. Oh the manipulation, before/during and after i broke up with her.

I told her a few days ago, I really need her to have my son ready for pickup when I get there at set times, to make the handover as short as necessary. yesterday I picked him up I was formal and polite but short. Then my brother mentioned to me today, she has a new profile picture up, with her and her replacement laughing together, uploaded same day I picked him up. Could be a coincidence but from what I have experienced lately. Not likely. She has my family members still as friends on FB and she wants me to see it/hear about it.

It feels good to make the decision to detach and go low contact. I should have done that much sooner.

Dad to my wolf pack

This is one of this hard things to do,  but it's a natural step. I blocked my ex on FB when she was still living with me.

Hard to say about the fact that she still is friends with your family.  It could be that she still feels an attachment,  or it could be that it just doesn't cross her mind.  I think the latter with my ex.  Four years later and she has yet to delete my buddy's dad (whom she barely knew), nor a friend of mine from out of state whom she had only met once. My buddy,  through his dad,  used to tell me things... .I told him to stop unless it was something significant regarding the kids.  It's natural to want to know what's going on,  but it isn't good for our health.

She removed them all once before during a breakup, before we had our son . She doesn't have a close relationship with any of them specially my brother she doesn't even like but you might be right since it's my sons family.
