This would be the denial/bargaining stage... .BPD can mimic "respect", its in constant survival mode... .we see mirroring as respect, in the beginning... .and from the first time, the mirroring isnt perfect, the false self, in the both of you, kicks in the defense mechanisms... .You then spend the rest of the r/s, attempting to return there... .that place truly didnt exists, just a fantasy we all played a part in
