You and me
Sittin' in the back my memory
Like a honey bee
Buzzin' 'round a glass of sweet Chablis
Radio's on
Windows rolled up
And my mind's rolled down
Headlights shining
Like silver moons
Rollin' on the ground
We made love
In everyway love can be made
And we made time
Look like time
Could never fade
Friday Night
We both made the guitar hum
Saturday made Sunday feel
Like it would never come
Gonna be a long Monday
Sittin' all alone on a mountain
By a river that has no end
Gonna be a long Monday
Stuck like the tick of a clock
That's come unwound - again
Soul to soul
Heart to heart
And cheek to cheek
Come on baby
Give me a kiss
That'll last all week
The thought of you leavin' again
Brings me down
The promise of
Your sweet love
Brings me around
It's gonna be a long Monday
Sittin' all alone on a mountain
By a river that has no end
It's gonna be a long Monday
Stuck like the tick of a clock
That's come unwound - again
And a

It does HQ. It’s funny. I don’t have our Son this weekend and the feelings set in. Part of it I suppose. Thank you for being kind.

Good one. I just listened to that one again. I've always thought that John Prine knew a thing or two about actual heartache. He and Lyle Lovett.

For sure, Speck. Glad to come across a fellow listener. Lyle Lovett sang at Townes Van Zandt’s funeral. “Flying Shoes”. You mentioned being a Southern Gent. My favorite music comes from the South. The Allman Brothers Band changed my life musically. Anyway, thanks for chiming in. If there are any good local bands around there that a Yank wouldn’t know about, let me know.

I will put a think on it, and get back with you.
Through my life, when times have gotten a little weird, instead of alcohol, I've always "medicated" with music. Lyle Lovett is usually in heavy rotation. He's not always a downer. His song "If I Had a Boat" always puts a smile on my face.
If you've never, it's worth a listen.
