Broken by a BPDf

Met the girl of my dreams, breathtaking and divine, fell in love and was quickly minimized and disregarded as a lover. I have allowed myself to foresake my manhood, bought gifts for her boyfriends, subjected myself to a host of roles ( therapist, girlfriend, etc ) that I am not comfortable with and diminished any self esteem I may have once had. She knows I love her, but I am nearing 2 months of nc and am dysfunctionally depressed. I have lost my job and all of my friends.

Hi Dlamf. I’m sorry to find you feeling this way, but glad that you found us. The fallout of these relationships can really take a toll on us. You mentioned losing your friends. I feel for you. These relationships can sometimes have a far reach. Do you have family that you can reach out to?
If you’re comfortable sharing, can you give us more insight into your situation? How long were you together with her? This place is full of supportive members and staff that are here for many of the reasons that you are. Welcome to the board.

Hi, Dlamf,
So sorry you’re going through this. But you’ll find a lot of support here with people who understand exactly how you feel.
Can you tell us how long you were together?
Best,
Stixx

I am attempting 2 leave a BPDf, much younger than myself, who has literally dozens of other romantic partners. She even lives with her s.o. and is sleeping with her boss! Y am I destroying myself like this? I am going on 2nd month of nc... .41 days of excruciating agony and counting; job and friends long gone... .
