There is honestly so much to my childhood, that it would be impossible to explain every trauma here. What I need to focus on right now is how to manage/survive my mother as a child. I'm 17 years old, and I will turn 18 in late January of 2019. I don't know how to manage her erratic mood swings or how to give her what she needs. I'm drawing and have no emotional strength to swim through the emotional train wreck that is my mother (and me because of her). Anything you could have to say could help. Thank you.

Hi help1234,

I am very sorry to hear that things are so difficult for you, and it is great to see you reaching out for help and support.

Unfortunately, our site requires the members to be at least 18 years old.  There are resources of the type you're seeking and I'd encourage you to contact them. Please check out www.teenhelp.org.

Other resources you may find helpful are:
www.yourlifeyourvoice.org/AskIt/Pages/default.aspx
https://teenlineonline.org/talk-now/
www.teenhealthandwellness.com/static/hotlines

I would also like to encourage you to talk to your school counsellor or school social worker about your struggles right now.  Having a person to confide in can be very helpful.  I hope that you find the support you are seeking and we will be glad to welcome you after your birthday next year.

Love and light x
